The crown jewel of the Indianapolis Colts' fire sale looks to be on the table.
The Colts are willing to trade star running back Jonathan Taylor and are active in talks with several teams, ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
The Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks are among the teams that have expressed some level of interest in the three-time Pro Bowler, per Schefter and Rapoport.
Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon talked with Taylor to reportedly have an "in-depth conversation to discuss the future."
Taylor has remained productive through this seventh year in Indianapolis, rushing for 587 yards with eight touchdowns, while adding 17 catches for 178 yards through the air in seven games.
The Colts have already traded All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks and Pro Bowl defensive tackle to the San Francisco 49ers, but both players are set to hit unrestricted free agency at the end of the season.
However, Taylor is under contract through the 2028 season for a combined $24.46 million, making him a more valuable long-term asset with a lighter cap hit.
Since being picked by the Colts in the second round of the 2020 draft, the Salem, N.J., native has 8,185 rushing yards and 77 touchdowns, with 1,647 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 91 games. He earned his first and only first-team All-Pro nod in 2021 and finished second in Offensive Player of the Year voting after leading the league with 1,811 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns.
The Colts are 2-5 on the year and have lost three straight heading into Sunday's divisional matchup against the AFC South-leading Jacksonville Jaguars.
